Lockrings
A Locking is a thin locknut used to keep a threaded assembly from coming unscrewed. Fixed-gear hubs use lockrings to keep the sprocket from unscrewing when the cyclist resists the motion of the pedals. Conventional bottom brackets use a lockring on the adjustable cup to make it hold its adjustment.
